For Her Dignity is a registered Canadian non-profit that partners with community-based organizations to build period poverty programming — educating, empowering, and elevating with the resources to fight period poverty.

WHO WE ARE

Building a Network of Dignity

We believe in a future where all women and girls, regardless of their social or economic background, can have access to sustainable menstrual health management and live with dignity, hope, and opportunity.

To achieve this, we partner with, and provide funding to, international affiliates who work with community leaders to provide culturally appropriate resources like education materials and access to products to support menstruation to vulnerable women and girls in culturally conservative countries. We support training and expanding the network of resident leaders with how to manage a community’s menstrual health needs.

OUR IMPACT

A Story of Innovation

In 2020, COVID-19 presented unprecedented challenges to the global supply chain, affecting For Her Dignity’s ability to get necessary menstrual supplies to implementation partners. To address this challenge, For Her Dignity simplified and innovated on its design by introducing pre-cut Dignity Kits that could be assembled by implementation partners in the field.

Previously, a completed Dignity Kit included pre-sewn liners, leak-resistant shields and sometimes underwear. The new pre-cut Dignity Kits exchanged sewn liners for pre-cut liners.
